Our Neighbor: Household Goods | Helping Make a House a Home
A little teamwork can go a long way in helping make a house feel like home!
We're building a Brandeis tradition, one act of service at a time! Neighbor to Neighbor: Weekend of Service brings our campus community together to connect with our neighbors, strengthen relationships, and support the incredible work happening throughout Waltham and our surrounding communities.
As part of this growing tradition, we're teaming up with Household Goods, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families create comfortable, welcoming homes by providing donated furniture and essential household items.
Volunteers will roll up their sleeves to help move furniture and household items, organize donations, and support the day-to-day work that makes Household Goods' mission possible. From sorting household essentials to lending a hand with furniture, every contribution helps ensure that donated items find their way to neighbors who need them.
Our goal is to bring as many members of the Brandeis community together in service as possible, building a tradition rooted in connection, collaboration, and shared responsibility to our neighbors.
No experience necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm, comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a willingness to lend a hand. Please be prepared for physical activity, including lifting and carrying items, and potential exposure to dust and other allergens.
Show up for our neighbors. Serve alongside one another. Help build a Brandeis tradition!
