Mission
The purpose of HWAA is to foster the exchange of East Asian pop culture within the Brandeis University community through the medium of dance. While the club will be mainly focusing on the dynamic styles of Chinese pop (C-pop) culture, we are also embracing the latest trends from other East Asian cultures. HWAA serves as a platform for students who are passionate about East Asian pop culture and to connect, share their interests, and build a supportive community.

Membership Benefits
Once you become a member, you are opened to a world of opportunities to bettering your dance skills, performing on stage at various events and locations, and shooting for music videos!

-Fun Dance Workshops!
HWAA holds regular pop dance workshops that includes KPOP, APOP, JPOP, and choreographies by Asian choreographers. The specific piece and instructor will be shared beforehand, and workshops are open for all students on campus regardless of former experiences. If you have a specific piece that you are dying to learn, feel free to DM us on our official Instagram page, and we will take that into consideration.

-Annual Showcase
HWAA holds an annual showcase which features our members. Anyone who wish to perform can stand on stage in either small project groups or with the whole team to show their skills. Food and drinks will be provided.

-Performance Opportunities
HWAA has close relationships with many culture groups on campus and is often invited to perform at their events. We will assign one or several project teams to perform at these events, so members will have multiple opportunities, if willing, to perform on stage.

-Professional MV Shooting
HWAA has the tradition of filming music videos on and off campus with professional videographers. We did many KPOP covers with full costumes and lightings. Check out the music videos on our Instagram to get to know our past work.

-A Supportive Community
HWAA is a non-judgmental, loving community. We are gathered together due to our shared love for APOP dances. As the school's only APOP dance club, we are excited for new members to join our group and dance it all out together!
