culture, creativity, and community. This event provides a platform for African students to showcase their heritage through
music, dance, fashion, and entrepreneurship while creating a space where the broader Brandeis community can engage
with and appreciate African culture in an authentic and immersive way. In addition to an African marketplace featuring
local vendors, BASOchella will include five interactive stations, each representing a different region of Africa—North, South,
East, West, and Central. These stations will highlight the unique traditions, food, music, and history of each region, allowing
attendees to explore the continent’s rich diversity firsthand. From traditional clothing and artifacts to regional delicacies and
cultural performances, these stations will bring Africa’s rich heritage to life in an engaging and educational way.
