Thursday, February 20 @ 7 pm

After criticizing a fellow American for his lack of diplomatic skill, Christopher Gore got word the man was threatening to “seek satisfaction” for the insults. Though nothing came of it, Gore took to carrying a pistol, just in case.

Historian and Brandeis Professor Dan Breen will give a talk about this period in Christopher Gore’s life and the impact it had on himself, his friends, and his family. Admission is free and you do not need to register ahead of time. To read more about the Speaker Series, visit Gore Place's website (https://goreplace.org/whats-on/speaker-series).

The opportunities listed are not sponsored by Brandeis University as they come directly from community partners or external entities. Responsibility for participation in any opportunity, including further exploring additional information to be fully informed about each experience, rests with each potential participant.
