Make sure to sign the brandeis club sports waiver for archery prior to coming: Go here https://brandeis.dserec.com/online/clubsports_widget/, click on 'registration' for archery and follow the steps, it should say pending approval when you're done.

All members should be familiar with these guidelines, along with any directions that are given verbally. The purpose of a cheerleader is to create and promote loyal school spirit, encourage quality performance, and team bonding. Through the development of spirit and cheer technique, leadership, cooperation, self-discipline, and sportsmanship in each individual athlete, Brandeis cheerleaders will encourage their student body and their community through support in the promotion of athletic events and activities, which will inspire the athletes to perform to the best of their ability.

The Brandeis Equestrian Club acts as a vehicle to allow students interested in horseback riding the opportunity to ride and enjoy horses. As members have a variety of knowledge and skill from their respective riding histories, other members may benefit from the knowledge and experience of one another. The Brandeis Equestrian Club competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and encourages all members to do so by their second semester of participation in the club.

The purpose of the Gymnastics Club is to offer Brandeis students an opportunity to practice recreational and competitive gymnastics. Gymnastics Club meetings will be held at an off-campus gym where members may practice gymnastics under the supervision of a coach employed by the gym.

The Nordic Skiing club practices at the Weston Ski Track, located fifteen minutes away from the Brandeis campus. The club provides an educational program that teaches the basics of the sport and racing opportunities for those who desire to be competitive. There will be weekend trips to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine to explore the ski trails around New England.

The Brandeis Rowing Team practices in the morning out of the Lasell Stoller Boathouse, located a five minute drive away from campus. The Novice program teaches first-time rowers the basics of the sport, while the Varsity program--for returning and experienced rowers--continues to focus on skills development and competitive race results. Both teams are composed of men's and women's squads. Practices take place Monday through Friday in the fall and spring, with races on the weekends. Winter training takes place indoors, typically on the rowing machines.

Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe place for all the students at Brandeis with an interest in skiing and competition to be part of a national community. We work hand in hand with USCSA to provide weekend trip opportunities at the start of the Spring Semester to engage in high level skiing and sport. All are welcome to try and we are not exclusive, nor competitive in numbers. We ask that everyone contributes as positively as possible on and off of the slopes, and for all political matters to be handled away from organized events as it is NOT in our mission statement. Please know that the events could be overwhelming for some and that no one is obligated to feel on the same skiing level as others. Please be comfortable skiing alone on beginner if you’re considering joining the ski team. Statement: We are a ski team with the large focus on attending college club ski races on weekends during the winter months in the surrounding ski areas of the Northeast.

Subsidized ski trips and training trips offered to active members who are registered to race. Members who don't have prior skiing experience unfortunately cannot be accommodated for. You are only allowed to join if you have skiing experience and are willing to purchase all necessary equipment. We host social events during the fall, but this is a club that has team activities only during the spring semester.
