Website Mission

Mission
Our mission encompasses three areas:

1) Building Community: We build community among first-generation and/or low-income (FLI) students through social events, and among peers, faculty, staff, and alumni through mentorship opportunities.

2) Cultivating Pride, Awareness, and Change: We celebrate and cultivate a sense of pride in the FLI identities; spread awareness about Gen One at Brandeis; and advocate for policies and practices that support FLI students.

3) Sharing and Creating Knowledge & Resources: Through our events and outreach, we share resources and knowledge that help FLI students thrive at Brandeis. Being attentive to the interests and needs of our community, we also consider where new resources may be created.
