About Us

Brandeis Hui ʻo Laulima is a club dedicated to spreading the aloha spirit to the Brandeis community, as well as supporting students from Hawaiʻi and those interested in Hawaiian culture. We will promote the rich history and culture of the beautiful 50th State through local food preparation and tasting, lei-making, hula dancing, Hawaiian language lessons, and much more. We will also host discussion sessions to raise awareness on issues currently plaguing the islands, such as the Lahaina wildfires. Our efforts will culminate with the Brandeis Lūʻau, an event that will allow the Brandeis community to enjoy authentic Hawaiian food, music, and dance, while disproving stereotypes associated with Hawaiʻi.
