Hello SASA!

The current SASA E-Board's term is coming to an end, and the elections for the 2024 E-Board are here! E-Board elections will be held on Sunday, December 3rd at 4:30 PM in the ICC MPR.

E-Board positions are open to all general board members. ALL club members who can commit to two semesters are encouraged to run for an E-Board position! If you are interested in running for an E-Board position, please apply at this LINK!

To run, you must submit an application by Friday, December 1st, at 11:59 PM EST. Your blurb will then be sent out to the list-serv on Saturday, December 2nd, before the election so all voting members have a chance to read them. Anyone running for a position will also have to present a short speech on the day of elections!

Outlined below are the E-Board positions for the 2024 - 2025 E-Board along with a brief overview of the roles. Co-President (2 Seats) - You must hold an E-board position for at least one year to qualify to run for President!

Organize and conduct club meetings
Attend all E-Board meetings and general meetings and oversee the club activities, as well as attend necessary ICC panels and events.
Be the club’s spokesperson on campus.
Familiarize oneself with the procedures of the Student Union, ICC, CES and other University departments
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Maintain existing club partnerships and seek to promote newer one

Co-Events Coordinator (3 Seats)

Plan the logistics of events closely with the Presidents
Coordinate with CES and other services to plan event logistics and book the necessary event Spaces
Attend jump start meetings to confirm event details
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Prepare for the upcoming events
Work closely with the Treasury to coordinate events.
Reaching out to off-campus guest speakers

Co-Treasurer (2 Seats)

Raise and request funds from the Allocations Board for events.
Attend the Allocations Board training, and become familiar with the process of requesting and appealing for funds.
Responsible for reporting back during E-Board meetings about the state of SASA’s budget.
Coordinate fundraising and charity fundraisers.
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Work closely with the Co-events to coordinate funds for events
Communicate with off-campus organizations and vendors about business transactions

Secretary (1 seat)

Take minutes during meetings
Maintain the club’s listserv
Responsible for regularly emailing general members and reminding them about events.
Assist in publicizing events
Maintain club agenda and calendar
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Hosting Zoom meetings for g-board members and online events

Digital Media Chair (1 Seat)

Attend all E-board meetings, Club events, and general body meetings.
Create flyers and promotional items for SASA and all events
Publicize SASA events on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Manage SASA's Instagram and Facebook accounts in a creative, appropriate, and timely manner.
Act as an effective and collaborative liaison between SASA and other South Asian clubs in the area
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Update and organize the club linktree

Personal Relations (PR) Chair (1 Seat)

Working closely with Digital Media Chair and Secretary
Help coordinate online zoom events
Work beside the digital media chair on outreach and recruitment of new members
Communicate with the ICC when needed
Decorate event venue and clean up event
Work on outreach/collaboration with SASA’s in the greater MA area
