Students who become members of The Brandeis Hoot can gain experience in reporting, writing and editing, as well as experience in laying out a paper and preparing it for publication. Members have the opportunity to learn from their peers, as well as gain access to a network of alumni working in journalism as well as other fields. The best part of joining The Hoot is the people one meets, whether through reporting on community events or getting to know other editors.
