About Us
The purpose of the Astronomy Club is to advance the awareness of the cosmos and optical observation of outer space on the Brandeis campus. Our club hosts group star and celestial gazing on telescopes, astronomy lectures, and educational events. We promote documentation of space through astrography using the 24” Cassegrain primary telescope and the 8” Celestron finderscope. The aim of the Astronomy Club is to be a conduit for the Brandeis community’s maximal use of the Observatory and telescope while maintaining optics and specialized equipment housed there.
